​CLR 1st responders John Haase and Dan Finger were recognized for their years of service to EMS last night at the annual Dodge County EMS Association meeting.

The CLR Fire & Rescue is announcing their award of $227,560 in Wisconsin EMS Flex Grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. This grant opportunity, offered via the American Rescue Plan Act, was issued with intention of stabilizing EMS providers, especially in rural communities, ensuring they can continue with emergency response in the State of Wisconsin.

After learning of the grant opportunity, Fire Chief Eric Howlett and EMR Coordinator Michelle Denruiter worked to submit a grant application that would maximize any award the department could receive. While the dept. had hopes of a sizeable award, the results surpassed their greatest expectations.

Funds from this grant will be used in several ways in compliance with grant requirements. Vehicle upgrades and repairs, new EMS equipment/supplies and education for current and new members to name a few.

Currently the CLR operates at the EMR level with 3 ambulances from 3 stations. This funding will allow us to improve our services and hopefully in the near future upgrade our service level to EMT.

In all, $32 Million in EMS Flex Grants were awarded to 442 EMS providers in the State of Wisconsin, impacting nearly every county. The CLR is grateful for being designated as a recipient of this funding and optimistic on the impact this type of grant can offer throughout the State.

Reeseville, WI - The CLR Fire & Rescue is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a $19,000 grant from the Beaver Dam Community Hospital Foundation.

The CLR Fire & Rescue was awarded a grant for EMS equipment and the grant was used to purchase a LUCAS device. The Lund University Cardiopulmonary Assist System (LUCAS) device provides mechanical chest compressions to patients in cardiac arrest.

This will be our 2nd LUCAS device and placed in our Clyman unit. Our 1st device is in our Reeseville unit and has already proven to be a great asset.

The CLR Fire & Rescue would like to extend our gratitude to the Beaver Dam Community Hospital Foundation. Without their financial support this purchase would not have been possible.

On October 12th 2022, CLR members we're recognized for their life-saving actions from a call in July. In this line of work there aren't always success stories but we are happy to be a part of this one and to see Mr. Helbing doing well.

The Dodge County Board of Supervisors voted to allocate $432,000 of ARPA funding towards our station expansion, further helping to propel us towards upgrading our EMS service level.

This funding will be used to build a dedicated apparatus bay for our ambulances, a decon area, living and sleeping quarters. It has been a long process with countless hours put in by our dedicated volunteers, headed up by Captain Andy Caine.

We can't thank enough, the Supervisors who supported us and have put their faith in us to be a model for cooperation in Dodge County.
